Express Barista Course

For aspiring baristas, café entrepreneurs, and coffee enthusiasts with little to no prior experience.

  • Prepare to find work in one of the many cafes in London or elsewhere with this express course. The course is also open to people who don’t wish to work in the UK.
  • A mix of classroom and practical lessons on a coffee-making machine.
  • Classroom lessons include an introduction to coffee and the barista role, vocabulary for types of coffee; “café English” – speaking and listening skills in a café setting.
  • Coffee machine lessons include making a variety of different types of coffee; operating, cleaning and maintaining coffee machines; how to foam and texture milk; coffee art.
  • Regular practice exams will increase your confidence for your chosen exam.

Students must also book an English course, minimum 2 weeks.

- Business English vocabulary - globalisation, brands, advertising, innovation, travel.
- Business writing – orders, complaints, enquiries, notices, reports.
- “Survival skills” for English in the workplace – telephoning, meeting people, participating in meetings, making presentations.
