Professional and Specialist Internship Programmes
Enhance your career prospects and improve your English by combining an English language programme with a period of unpaid work for a small or medium sized London company. You will learn English in a real working environment, meet local people, as well as learning practical work skills. Adding UK experience will also improve your C.V.
Enrolment
The process needs to be started at least 4 weeks before your arrival in the UK.
Step 1: Complete and send both the school enrolment form and the internship application form
Step 2: We’ll confirm acceptance on the internship programme
Step 3: The internship organiser contacts suitable companies and during your English course you’ll have an interview before placement is finalised.
Step 4: The organiser is available during your placement and monitors your progress
Step 5: At the end of your placement, you complete a report on your experience and a certificate is awarded

The Youth Mobility Scheme
The Youth Mobility Scheme (YMS) visa offers a fantastic opportunity to live, work, and study in the UK for up to two years.
The scheme allows young people to experience British life and culture while working part-time or full-time, travelling, volunteering, or studying. Many of our students choose the YMS visa to combine English language courses with part-time employment.

What is the Youth Mobility Scheme (YMS) Visa?
- The YMS visa allows holders to work and study at an English language school in the United Kingdom or just work for up to 2 years.
- YMS holders can work in most jobs, do voluntary work, or even be self-employed and set up a company under specific conditions.
- UK companies can more easily employ young workers/professionals from an eligible country on the YMS visa, as it avoids complex and expensive processes to sponsor workers on a Working Visa
Who is eligible?
Applicants must be:
- Aged 18-30 (35 for South Koreans)
- Able to provide evidence of sufficient funds to live in London (minimum £2,530)
- A national from Japan, South Korea, San Marino, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Iceland, Andorra, and Uruguay
In some countries, the Youth Mobility Scheme visa is subject to a Ballot System and ballots are open on a certain date and applicants must enter their data during a 48-hour period. If they are chosen, they have 90 days to apply for the visa.
What is the application process and requirements?
Students must:
- Apply from their home country, online and attend a biometric appointment. The earliest you can apply for a visa is 6 months before departure.
- Submit documents: passport, bank statements with at least £2,530 in savings.
- Pay for the visa fee: £298 + the healthcare surcharge at £776 per year.
