What courses can you offer for different ages?

Adults aged 16+

Family Programme
Juniors aged 5–16. Morning English classes & afternoon supervised activities with parents. Separate classes available for parents.
Junior Day School
Juniors aged 12-16. Morning English classes & afternoon English language-based activities, excursions & projects. Summer only.
Junior & Afternoon Club
Juniors aged 8-16 (8-11 in summer). Morning English classes & afternoon activities such as arts, crafts & games. Summer and Winter only.

Are the afternoon activities included in the price? What kind of activities are they?

Adults
Not included in the price.
Many of the activities are free, on others you pay only for your food and drink, travel and entrance charges.

There is a different activity programme every week:

  • 3 teacher-led activities (when a teacher accompany and guides you)
  • 2 recommended activities (when you arrange to meet your classmates in reception and go together)
  • 2 guided excursions every weekend organised by a carefully selected tour company (Anderson Tours)

Adult 50+ course
Included in the price.
Entrance fees/tickets and weekend excursion travel included.
Around London travel not included.

  • 3 afternoons of cultural visits per week
  • 2 evening events per week
  • 1 full day weekend excursion per week

Family Programme
Not included in the price.
Many of the activities are free, on others you pay only for your food and drink, travel and entrance charges. Parents must accompany the children on these activities.

There is a different activity programme every week:

  • 3 teacher-led activities per week (when a teacher accompany and guides you) in the Summer
  • 2 teacher-led activities per week (when a teacher accompany and guides you) in Spring, Autumn and Winter

  • 5 afternoon supervised activities per week, including sports, excursions, park visits

Junior Day School

  • 5 afternoon supervised activities per week, including arts, crafts and games

Can we drop off our child/children or do we need to stay in school? Does the parent need to study?

  • Younger children (5–6)
    A parent/guardian of a 5/6 year-old must take a course or stay at school during lesson times
  • Children (7–13)
    A parent/guardian must drop off and pick up the child from school every day of the course.
  • Children (14+)
    A parent/guardian must accompany the students to the school on the first day where a waiver can be signed for the children to come and go by themselves from Day 2 of the course.

Parents/guardians may choose optional adult courses but aren’t required to study. They must be 21+ years old.

Do you offer Online Classes?

Flexitime Private & Online Lessons
1-1 private or small group sessions (up to 3 students booking together – must have the same level and interests)
Minimum booking: 2 lessons

What if a student wants to take holiday/break/sick leave?

  • No holiday allowance for courses under 12 weeks
  • Course of 12+ weeks (non-exam): 2 weeks holiday per 12 weeks
    * 1 week’s notice required
    * Cannot be taken within first 8 weeks
  • For longer courses: 4–8 weeks holiday depending on length of study
  • Accommodation
    * Homestays require 1 week’s notice
    * Luggage storage charges apply
    * Residence bookings continue charge to full weekly fee during student holiday periods
  • Sick leave should be communicated to the Front Desk Manager
    * There is no additional class entitlement for time missed due to sickness
    * We may request a Doctor’s letter to evidence absence due to sickness
  • There is no reduction in fees or additional class entitlement when there is a Public Holiday

I have just been offered a similar Course at another London Language School for less money. Can you offer extra discount or match their prices?

How can I pay? Can I pay in instalments?

  • Registration Fee
    £105 (adult)
    £130 (family)
  • Deposit per person
    £250 course only
    £600 course + accommodation
  • Balance
    Due 21 days before arrival
    Full payment required if visa is needed or booking is made <21 days before start date or accommodation notice period is more than 3 weeks.
  • Payment by online credit card, bank transfer, cheque or cash (in-person)

Flexible payment options may be available depending on individual circumstances.

What are the cancellation terms?

  • Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable
  • No refund after course has started
